Q: How will COVID 19 affect ETPi events?

A: We are doing our best to plan events in accordance with the university guidelines, including limiting physical meetings and requiring masks. We will try to provide extra face masks, sanitizer, and other PPE at our events. During this time, the university is making policy changes weekly, making it difficult to plan ahead. This year will require us all to make adjustments to the new conditions, so if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us.

Q: Do you have to be an Eagle Scout to join ETPi?

A: Yes. We require photographic evidence or Eagle Card upon rushing.

Q: Do you have to be an Ohio State student to join ETPi?

A: You must be an active OSU student or at a nearby, separate institution at which there is no current active chapter of Epsilon Tau Pi

Q: Can women join ETPi?

A: Yes. Women who achieved the highest rank of scouting from their native country, including BSA, are eligible to join. No individual shall be denied admission for reasons of race, national origin, color, creed, religion, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or associational preference.

Q: How do you become a brother?

A: All prospective brothers need to go through the candidate period, lasting between 6 and 10 weeks. All candidates need to go to weekly meetings, perform a service project, and interview each brother.

Q: What social events do you do as brothers?

A: As a fraternity, we have gone paintballing, camping, skiing, white water rafting, disc golfing, poker night, sports, cookouts, and much more.

Q: Does the brotherhood do community service?

A: Of course! Part of being an Eagle Scout is to serve scouting and the community and because of this, we do many service projects throughout the community.

Q: Are there dues?

A: Yes, we collect dues each semester. However our dues are among the least expensive at Ohio State.

Q: Is there a fraternity house?

A: No, we currently do not have an official house. However, it is common for brothers to find housing with other brothers.
